You know that feeling you get when you start to buy Christmas presents and the next thing you know January has passed and you realized that you haven’t written anything for your blog in over a month?
Happened to me.
So the ups and downs of the new year have been very steep already and it only goes to show that 2013 is going to be an eventful year. A couple of the Casa de Meeks’ dearest friends returned from their trip around Eurasia. It was a much needed refreshment to have them at our home for a spell. If you’re interested in some crazy travel adventures you can check them out here: Thumbtack Travel. I’d recommend starting from the beginning. There is some very cool stuff. It even has pictures!
My wife is currently pursuing her Masters degree and in an effort not to get outdone I too have returned to college. This time I have changed fields and am looking into the Computer Programming aspect. I’ve always enjoyed tinkering with things and seeing how they work. Now, hopefully, I’ll gain a better understanding of how the systems I use everyday operate and how to bend those operations to my will <insert maniacal laugh here>. But fear not Sift Stalkers, Unbound is still in production and moving along as fast as my little mind can craft it.
I also would like to formally thank all of those who have helped me work through the last couple of weeks. SAD is a crazy condition that doesn’t really make sense when you’re out of it, but feels completely real when you’re in the pits. I have been fortunate enough that this season I haven’t been experiencing it as much, but when I do it’s a lot stronger. Add that into the mix of going back to school after five years and you’ve got a cocktail for disaster. So thank you friends and family–especially my darling wife.
Now that I’m back in the saddle again, I look forward to sharing a great year with everyone. I hope you’re all ready for what comes next in THE SIFTER SAGA.
always…
January has passed in a blink of an eye. Here’s to getting more words written in February!
Time is flying, and I know the feeling of lapsing blog all to well. Enjoy school, spring is coming up. See you again soon and were looking forward to the sequel.
